If you are already a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) there are a number of ways that you can continue your education and develop your diving skills further. The PADI Advanced Open Water course is the most popular next step involving 5 open water dives over 2 or 3 days. Upon completion you become a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course details
- 5 dives over 2 or 3 days
- Get certified to dive deeper! (Max depth is 30m)
- You must complete a Deep dive and a Navigation dive
- Choose 3 additional Adventure dives from a wide range of diving specialties
- eLearning is possible to learn the theory before you arrive
Complete 3 Adventure dives and you can obtain the PADI Adventure Diver certification.
What are PADI Adventure dives? Adventure dives are the first dive of any PADI Specialty course. You need to complete 3 of them to obtain the PADI Adventure Diver certification. Or, if you complete 5 (including Deep and Navigation dives), you will receive the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

If you only have time to complete the Adventure Diver course, your certification can be upgraded at any time to the full PADI Advanced Open Water certification (upon completion of the 2 further appropriate Adventure dives).
